Why does Azerbaijan not take Armenia to the European Court of Human Rights?

The UN Security Council condemned the Armenian invasion and occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories, making its position clear and unambiguous by passing four resolutions, which addressed Armenian aggression-Resolutions 822, 853, 874, and 884.

There are one million Azeri refugees from the captured towns of Karabakh. They lost their homes and most of their belongings because of the occupation. Would it not be a good policy for Azeris to take Armenia to the ECHR to claim compensation for loss of ownership?

    Why are you asking this in Turkey section?

    I have to admit I agree with Gugu about this one though:
    “European forces silently witnessed the massacres of Serbs against Bosnians; the Dutch contingent even got medals for their achievement in Srebrenica,the entire population of Sarajevo and Mostar would be dead if U.S had not taken the lead, despite the protests of French and Germans.”
    Exactly. I was there and saw it all. I really want to thank Turkey for understanding what happened in Bosnia.

    I agree. This question should be in another section.

    gugu has made some strong points there. I call this western hypocrisy. On the other hand, one should also question Azeri governments policy, regarding all the petrol they have, which is transferred to the west. If they knew just a tiny bit of power politics, they could use it to propagate their cause.

    Azerbaijan is a turkic country in culture so i think thats why shes asking it here.As for why they dont take them to the european courts,i have no idea.

    Armenians and Armenia have been getting ALOT of sympathy lately because of thier constant howling of the armenian genocide,so i doubt the powers that be will pay much attension to little Azerbaijan…

    OSCE Minsk group works hardly about this Human Right problem.
    i support them rather than ECHR because
    they are more neutral.

    Only the muslim states are with azerbaijan but the world powers including Russia, USA, and France are with Armenia so what do you think. And of course Karabakh will always belong to Armenia.

    Mainly because of the failure in the Azerbaijan Government to provide sufficient evidence that the massacres committed by the Azeris on the Armenians in Sumgait and Baku were not a deliberate plan to commit an ethic cleansing of the Armenian population.

    Armenians are not the killers its the opposite.

    Arcakh (Karabagh is Armenian region and not Azeri) it was given by Stalin and now they got it back, there was not ever azerbayjan in about 100 years ago, it was called Aran.
    Aremnian people suffered a lot. not Azeries.
