Was there really a Genocide that was committed on Armenia in 1915?

Back to World War I in 1915, did Turkey really committed a Genocide on Armenia, and if yes then please specify why. If you have any sources then please do share it. Thanks.

yes.1.5 million people died.
One of the reasons is that Armenian volonteers joined the Russian army during WW1.
Also they declared secession from the Ottoman empire
If you want a definitive report of the Armenian genocide, read “Passage to Ararat.”
It was not officially classified as a genocide. The word genocide was coined during the Second World War. But looking back, it was a definite genocide by the Ottoman Turks.
